Let's Work Together
The Tisbury Firefighters Association is dedicated to serve the community beyond the fire ground. We are currently working to expand our community outreach efforts to offer classes and information sessions to the public. We are kicking off this initiative by offering Hands-Only CPR/AED classes for the public. These will not be certification classes. These classes will be completely free to any member of the public, but each session will have a limited number of seats available.
Why a limited number of seats?
Most of the community sessions we will be offering will have seat limits. This is because of two main reasons. The first is that the location of the session may have physical restrictions on the number of people that could attend. Secondly, TFFA is an organization of volunteers, and we will need to coordinate enough support staff to effectively provide quality information/instruction.
Why are the sessions non-certification?
To kick off this initiative we will be offering non-certification sessions to the public. This is to ensure that these sessions are completely free and accessible to every member of our community regardless of age or mobility. If you are an individual or business entity seeking a course that will provide an AHA or Red Cross certification, please contact us and we can set up a separate session to meet your needs.
Our Vision For Community Education
Over the next several months, if there is interest from the community, we will be working to establish regularly scheduled classes and information sessions to the public. Our goals include offering Stop The Bleed, First Aid, Safe Sitter classes, and more.
